General Discussion / N64 plugin with ports capabili...
Last post by Retrode64 - 20/Sep/2020 09:22:46 PM
hi all long time no see, ive been off for a few years now.

FW 25! Say what?!!!
updated from 18a :D

I was happy to see .mpk now works. (tested 32kb and set location in project 64) DO NOT DO THIS. I did it at my own risk.

A few quick questions.
1. does the original n64 plugin with ports support RAW rumble data?
2. will it also support the transfer pack?
3. not related to n64. are pass-through devices readable?

thanks.

It looks like File 1 data is still in the save although the data is shifted.  The File 3 data is missing or incomplete.

Aligning the shifted data results in this:

Oh god. I am so sorry for this late reply. Somehow Retrode havent wanted me to not log in giving me an "timed out error" everytime!
This is so cool though wow!
I am so bad with these things but.
How do you aligning things and such? Is there a tutorial somewhere on how to do it? or if you can show me how you did it? since the 1st save is the important one

Well... I lost my save (OoT), but I don't know whether that was because of the battery or the Retrode...

Hello!
I'm new here!
I recently updated my Retrode 2.0 and managed to copy my save files (Nintendo 64) for the first time. This brought me here and I was eager to post here. :)

First, I want to thanks people who made that possible. Secondly... Well... I need to go to bed. 😐

Support / How do I access GBA saves?
Last post by ninja92 - 19/Aug/2020 03:29:42 AM
So, I recently just got a retrode, updated it with the 0.25a firmware, and it can't seem to access saves on the GBA cartridges. I can plug my games into my DS lite and they'll be just fine, shows the data is still there, but the retrode doesn't show any save files and when i boot the game up in visualboyadvance, the game loads but it shows no data at all. is there any way to fix this or to pull off the save data to backup/use?

If Fire Red is supposed to be the same size as Leaf Green, it's supposed to be 16, not 8. Might be the same with Minish Cap, but I don't think forcing the right size will automatically fix the game, so it might be worth checking what the checksum is supposed to be, too.

I've been having issues with dumping GBA games as well. A few examples are Pokemon FireRed, Boktai 1 & 2, and Zelda Minish Cap.

Slightly unrelated, the Retrode2 can't see my GB Camera's save file. I haven't seen the code but I'm sure all the GameBoy & GBA stuff could use an update or two. :)
What are the file size the Retrode is giving off for the GBA games?

Can't remember what Minish Cap was. Both Boktai games were showing as 0 bytes and Pokemon FireRed was showing as 8.4 MB.

Hi, just discovered this and wanted to say great news!  My 2600 games are literally the last in my collection that I don't have a way to dump.  A Retrode plugin for that would be fantastic!  Hope you're able to get this to a finished state and make it available for sale some place.

Good luck!
