Interesting that you brought this up as I'm currently working on a potential Sega MD/GEN firmware update.

I'll pick up a copy and take a look.

Support / Realtec mapper support?
Last post by hadess - 04/Sep/2019 10:25:47 AM
Hey,

I was trying to dump a copy of "Whac-a-critter" [1] I recently got, and it just dumped the same 8kB over and over, instead of dumping 512kB of data.

Apparently, support for the Realtec mapper is missing in Retrode, though support exists in a number of emulators, including Blastem:
https://www.retrodev.com/repos/blastem/file/tip/realtec.c

If somebody in the US wants to have a copy of the game, I'm happy subsidising buying this auction:

Cheers

I didn't need to change any settings when I was beta-testing the firmware that added N64 save dumping.

Thank you!

General Discussion / Question regarding N64 save tr...
Last post by Nori - 27/Aug/2019 08:05:11 PM
I finally bought an N64 adapter some months ago after hearing that save state have been implemented thanks to the awesome members of this community who put so much work into this project.

Before I attempt anything I just wanted to make sure I was going around it the right way (and prevent losing data), for all games that use save features on cart,  the default settings work if just attempting a backup save transfer? Or do I need to change force size or any other setting depending on the game?
