Hello there,
Can someone please show or tell me where I am supposed to solder the Game Gear connector to the Sega Master System plugin?
Thank you,
Jim
That requires some soldering chops. First you have to clear the solder holes on the plug-in PCB (hot iron plus sucker tool should do the trick). Then put the GG connector in (same side as SMS connector) and solder it in place.
Obviously, when you're done the thing will no longer fit into the cartridge shell.
Alright. I can manage that (I try to convince myself.) Thanks. Wish me luck. ;D
so could i just get a damage sega genesis cart to make a gamegear plugin?
You mean the shell or the circuit board? If you refer to the board, why not. The result would probably look similar to this Virtual Boy plug-in:

If, on the other hand, you mean the shell: again, why not. You'd have to make the right cutouts and fumble the clunky connector through, but no major problem if you have the skills.
