Title: Issue with Self-Built GG Adapter [was: Issue with Updating Firmware]
Post by: beamish on 09/May/2013 12:32:21 AM
Hi all,

I'm not able to find anything on this, but have there been any issues with trying to upgrade the firmware on the SMS cart in Windows 8? After following the instructions, Windows discovers 2 USB devices that I cant load drivers for. And when trying to open it in FLIP, when trying to "Open" the USB device I get "Could not open USB device"

Thanks

Edit, Matthias_H: Changed thread title to reflect current problem.

Got it working perfectly on Windows 7. I have modified the SMS adapter to read Game Gear Carts. However, cant get them to read... back to the drawing board!

Nothing at all, or just a ROM file that doesn't run?

Can you send detailed photos of both sides of your adapter?

Sorry for the delay, looks like this is a bust. I had help soldering it, and I think in the process, it was ruined. :/
