Title: Do Atari joysticks work in the MegaDrive sockets? - resolved
Post by: matt on 16/Feb/2012 06:49:23 PM
Hi,

I'm interested in using the Retrode as it comes, but also as a controller adapter for Atari-standard joysticks so that I can play Amiga and Atari ST games with the controllers they should be.

Do Atari-standard controllers work on the Retrode?

Thanks,
matt

You're confusing me. Do you now have a Retrode 2 with working controller ports, or no? :D

@Matt, when you get your Retrode, please let me know if you experience any issues. Analogue controllers (paddles etc) won't work, that's for sure -- but if there's something wrong with digital joysticks, it won't take more than a simple firmware fix :)

DE-9 ports work. SNES ports dont :/ (on my unit only)

Amiga/Atari joysticks work just fine.
