Title: Atari 2600 Star Castle Kickstarter
Post by: hedwards on 01/May/2012 06:38:23 AM
Hi all. I don't generally promote things on fora, but I think the prospect of getting a new cartridge to dump on our retrodes is worthy of some acknowledgment.  ;D

I'm not affiliated with the project, but I'm guessing that somebody around here is going to be interested.

But anyways, for $50 you can get a limited edition cart with the game on it and some nice goodies. For a lower sum you just get it in an emulator friendly format. It'll be going until May 24th and has already hit the level necessary to ensure that it's funded.

Thank you for your time.

Unless this board is meant to host homebrew projects related to any systems the Retrode can be used for, I'd take this topic as spam. :P

I don't quite see the connection either, but when it comes to promoting crowd-funded retro gaming projects of any kind, count me in :)

Sigh, I thought it was clear enough considering I explicitly stated the connection.

For one thing it's a shiny new board that you can dump with the appropriate plug ins. For another, one of the pledge levels supports does provide a cart which one can use to play games on original hardware.

I don't personally have any connection with the project at all, but a new Atari 2600 cart coming out is something that I would assume would be of interest to the sorts of people that are also interested in the retrode.

I still don't see the connection! :) Don't all of the pledge levels include a free ROM of the game anyway?
