Did you try any of the force settings (i.e., forcing hirom etc)?
As noted in the OP yes. "I tried tinkering around with various CFG settings but can't get a working rom"

Update:
I was able to dump the cartridge via my Super NT. Retrode was way off in its detection.
The valid dump is HIROM not LOROM and is NTSC not PAL
Sadly I have yet to successfully dump any cart using my Retrode 2 :-(

On harvesting Game Gear cart slots, are the Game Genie slots okay (aside from fit issues)?

Thanks!

Do you have a picture? The one I used was (according to a prior poster) one that looked like a gamegenie slot and it is working well.

Hello,

Today I received my copy of Remute's new SNES music cartridge "The Cult of Remute".
I wanted to dump the rom so I can load it on my MiSTer. Voltage is set to 5v and firmware is .25a
Plugged in the Retrode and copy/pasted the sfc file. Problem is it is corrupt. It will not play on MiSTer or BSNES
I tried tinkering around with various CFG settings but can't get a working rom. Filesize is 1024KB

Any help to get a working dump would be GREATLY appreciated.
BSNES info page shows this:

I'll have to trim it a lot to make it fit in a SNES cart.

If you do try Ocarina of Time and Smash, and succesfuly backed up the save, please let us know. I personally have lost the save for Smash, but the battery may have been close to dead.

The Retrode 2 overdumps Killer Instinct Gold (USA) at 16 megabytes.  It should dump at 12 megabytes.  No Intro has a record of this overdump in their database at the link below, with the correct dump also listed (dumped by me).

https://datomatic.no-intro.org/?page=show_record&s=24&n=0355

I was able to change the relevant settings in the Retrode's config file to get the game to dump at 12 megabytes, but I'm wondering if this would be considered a bug?  Not sure where else to report it, so I'm posting here.

I'm on firmware v0.25a.
