Playing PAL Carts At 60Hz

Ok, so sorry if this is a stupid question. I searched it and couldn't find the answer and I've also no way of testing this with my own set up (that I know of).

I'm wondering if it's possible to play PAL carts at 60Hz. From what I understand the 50Hz limitation was a hardware thing so playing, say, Sonic 1 at 60Hz with a PAL cart should be possible, yes?

Which emulator are you using? There should be a setting for that.

KFusion. I haven't been able to find such an option but I'll take another look.

Try forcing the region to US.
