SNES ROM Underdumping [SOLVED]

Hello, Retroders!

I'm trying to dump my newly purchased copy of US Final Fantasy III for SNES with my Retrode 2. Both autoing and attempting to tell it to force ROM type and size both produce an underdump (is that a thing, underdump?).

Is there anything I can do to fix this, other than wait for the next firmware release? Will doing anything like fiddling with the config settings produce anything other than a broken dump?

Thanks!

What exactly do you mean? Does the file size not change as you try those different options, or does the file contain incomplete data?

The file size changes with the varying options, but the file invariably shows up as being around 20 megabits short of the 24 megabit size. One thing of note, though, is the saved file on it stays the same, regardless, though it's probably supposed to do that.

Please try to be as technical as possible. "File shows up around 20 megabits short of", says who? OS, emulator, hex editor, ...?

I apologise, I'm looking at the file size via PCManFM and I'm checking it via this link: http://datacrystal.romhacking.net/wiki/Final_Fantasy_VI

Wouldn't PCManFM show it in MB, while the game is measured in Mb at your link, so the game should show up as 3MB in PCManFM.

Oh my, I am so sorry, Matthias. I didn't notice the obvious need of conversion. In that case, it should be doing the regular over-dump, with the extra bytes just being nil. Thank you so much.

EDIT: I do apologise, MasterOfPuppets, for the misattribution. The thanks above go to you. The game seems to be running properly. Thank you!
