Super Mario RPG dumping

I'm sure I've just overlooked it or I'm just not understanding something.  From what I've gathered, the Retrode 2 is incapable of playing Super Mario RPG.  Something I didn't research hard enough for before I bought the thing, but not a large enough issue to prevent me from wanting to buy it.  Now, is the Retrode 2 capable of even dumping the rom of Super Mario RPG?  If now, how would I even go about doing that?  Preservation of my SNES library is my main goal.

I haven't succeeded in accessing anything on SA-1 based games. So, no luck with SMRPG whatsoever, I'm afraid.

Are there any known alternative ways of getting the dumps?

You could unsolder the ROM chip and dump it using pretty much any generic programmer device.

So no practical way to do it then.  That was more what I was asking.
