Hey guys! I have a strange problem here. I was recently trying to dump a SNES game, and for some reason the file on the SNES game appears to be 2600Cartridge.a26, but the SNES game works fine in my SNES! Why won't it read the SNES game? Why is it showing an Atari 2600 file?

I also should mention I am dumping a prototype copy of Looney Tunes Hoop It Up.

I open/close & hand polish all my cartridges before using them in the Retrode(or any other system I own.) It's as mint as the pins can get, and it works in all my SNES units/models fine.

Edit: I just updated to the newest firmware version, but I'm still having this problem. All it ever sees is a 4kb file called "2600Cartridge.a26"

I guess something in the ROM header must keep the Retrode from detecting the game. Probably a missing title string. Have you tried

[forceSystem] snes

in the RETRODE.CFG to force the Retrode into SNES mode?

Got it working! Awesome!

It landed up working with:
Forcesystem: snes
Forcesize: 16
Forcemapper: 0

The snes rom was a whopping 8mb!

Just registered to say that this solved the problem I was having with the Master System Street Fighter II.
I'd previously tried using "Forcesystem: sms" without any luck, but by also using "Forcesize: 4" it worked.
