Does the Retrode 2 work with Windows 10?

Sorry if this has been answered, but I can't find it anywhere.

I'm interested in buying a Retrode 2, but I can't find anywhere whether it works on Windows 10. I'm also interested in the N64 adapter and would like to know whether it works with Windows 10 as well?

It does. Go for it. You'll need a Windows 8 or lesser system to update the firmware for now, though.

if you got plenty of space you could download vmware and install windows vista or windows 7 on it and try that

Check the firmware page to see if you care about any of the features and fixes that have been added. If you don't care about the new firmware, then don't update. If you want the update, you could always use a Linux Live CD or flash drive to update without having to install another OS or use a VM.

I have a flash drive; can I plug it into my Windows 10 PC to install the firmware update? If so, how do I do it? Do I still need a PC with Windows 8, or earlier to get the firmware update onto the flash drive? Also where can I find the firmware page?

The flash drive would be to install Linux and has nothing to do with the Retrode directly. You can tell your PC to boot from the flash drive instead of your HDD with Windows, and once you're running Linux, you could perform the firmware update using the Linux method in order to avoid the problems with Windows 10. Once you're done updating the Retrode, power off the PC, remove the flash drive, and then start the PC normally to boot Windows 10 again.

Another vote for the Linux live USB firmware method.  It's far more reliable than the Windows method in my experience.

Also note the pierre's post (reply #16) in the Error Code 43 thread, in case you run into such an issue.

Has anybody tried that on Windows 10? The link pierre posted refers to Windows 8.1. (Edit:) Oh, wait, I guess the issues on Windows 10 were different (FLIP software/driver compatibility).
